Our Approach
Little Gem Garden Care are plant professionals. We give careful consideration to planning, setting up and maintaining gardens that suit our clients’ individual needs now and into the future.
We’re about the right plant in the right spot for the right purpose. There are more than 400,000 known plant species and no one knows them all! We won’t ‘fake it til you make it’ – If we don’t know, we don’t guess! We take the time to get the right information from reputable sources.
(And actually, we’re gardeners AND axe murderers – in our defense, some plants like a good solid hard prune!)
Who We Are
Little Gem Garden Care is owned and operated by us, Dan and Nerida. Dan is a transplant from the Blue Mountains and Nerida is a born and bred, pot-bound Coffs Harbourite.
We spent much of our working careers in corporate business and in various levels of government. After having perpetrated so much evil, we thought it was time to do good and turned our hands to horticulture. Luckily Nature is very forgiving.
We are both formally trained horticulturalists, and have collectively worked in production nurseries, residential and commercial garden maintenance, garden design & installation and bush regeneration.
We value integrity, hard work, honesty, humility, plant puns and good old fashioned manners.
